Transparency and accountability
The Noor El-Salam Board remains committed to growing responsibly over the next three to five years— reaching more refugee children and expanding our reliable humanitarian partnerships while continuing to operate with transparency, compassion, and care.
Noor El-Salam publishes annual program and financial summaries. Foundation partners and donors receive full access to programmatic data, financial statements, and outcome documentation. We welcome audits, site visits, and multi-year grant relationships.
Annual Reports and US Federal Tax Exempt Status
2025
Enrollment growth to more than 200+ refuge children participating in the educational program learning Arabic, English, math, and science. Curriculum includes mid-year and year-end exams to assess the success of the program Noor El-Salam. Administrative costs and fundraising costs are less than 5% of annual budget.
2024
Cohort model stabilized. Growth in student enrollment requires 2 sessions per day. Added pilot program for older children who are unschooled or have not been in school for several years. Special fund-raising campaign for humanitarian relief to hundreds of Lebanese families. Administrative costs and fundraising costs are less than 6% of annual budget.
2023
Academy re-located to central Beirut with new enrollment of 60 new students ages 5-14, and a long wait list. This facility is a better learning environment and location because we no longer expend half the funds on transporting children to school as their parents can walk them.
2022
Academy launch, first 90 students enrolled, initial teaching staff hired, curriculum established. Food rations distributed to 40 families and supported medical-aid. Founding financial report.
Nonprofit in Good Standing
Noor El-Salam is registered with the Colorado Secretary of State as a Nonprofit Corporation, has complied with all applicable requirements, and is in good standing.
